PROFIBUS PA meets the special requirements of process automation. These include intrinsic safety and bus-powered devices, for example.  PA communication is based on the same bus physics as Foundation fieldbus H1. It uses the acyclic DPV1 services and is embedded in a higher-level PROFIBUS DP system.

During the preliminary test, the MoTest of the accredited testing laboratory will be carried out on your field device. You will be provided with the test result. One of our fieldbus experts will evaluate the test result and support you during error analysis. The services connected with the preliminary test comprise 20 hours of testing and support. Additional testing or support will be invoiced separately.

The new Fieldbus Kit (FBK) from Softing AG enables existing HART devices to be converted quickly and easily to FOUNDATION fieldbus H1 and PROFIBUS PA.

To make it easier for HART device manufacturers to enter the fieldbus market, Softing's FBK offers a profitable alternative to conventional stack integration that is particularly well suited for small to medium quantities. The use of the same software architecture ensures investment security in case of a later change to classical stack integration on a separate platform. The required FBK schematics are available on request.
